ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Toronto supports and encourages the growth of its economy through its Economic Development and Culture Division. Under the supervision of the Economic Development Committee, chaired by Councillor Thompson, EcDev helps new businesses set up and get going and existing businesses expand and grow. The Division encourages foreign companies to establish operations in Toronto, and works with Employment and Social Services to find job opportunities for Torontonians.
